Coach Melissa
Coach Melissa is starting her 4th year coaching with us at ETCG.
She is the mother of two girls, Bryleigh and Brooklyn.
She was born and raised here in good ol’ Kingsport, TN
She graduated from Northeast State Community College with an Associate degree in Surgical Technology and a minor in Applied Science. Afterwards she received her Certified Medical Assistant degree.
Melissa’s certifications are USASF levels 1-3, CPR, and Concussion awareness
Melissa has cheered since she was in the 4th grade, she will always have the passion, drive, and love for cheer. She hopes to make an impact on other athletes to become positive role models as an athlete. Melissa has coached for the past 16 years. She started out as an assistant coach, moved to head coach then owning her own competitive cheer business for 12 years. She has had several grand championship and national wins.
Melissa found the love and passion for kids that doesn’t have the everyday life. She felt the calling to start a special needs team 4 years ago. These athletes continue making such an impact on her life that she’ll probably never retire coaching because of these athletes! Melissa is looking forward to coaching all athletes to inspire them!
Outside of cheer Melissa loves summer, enjoying time out on the lake, hiking, tubing, pool time, and most of all hanging out with her family.
