Are You Ready to Be a Part of the Best All Star Team in the Tri-Cities?
All Star cheer is a continually evolving and highly competitive sport. Although it has changed a lot over the last 30 years, today's version comprises of gymnastics, acrobatics, dance, and many other elements unique to all star cheer. Our athletes can learn new and exciting skills while being in a fun and safe environment.
How are All Star Teams Structured?
All Star teams are typically comprised of 8-40 athletes with a variety of skills and abilities. Teams often have a combination of solid, well-rounded athletes along with specialists who have particularly strong abilities in certain areas. Teams are divided by age and ability level. The coaches create a competition routine which is then performed by the group that has the elements of tumbling, stunting, jumping, dance, and other skills, set to a two and half minute routine. At competitions, they are judged by their level of difficulty, precision, creativity, and entertainment value.
Here at ETC, we start summer workout groups in May, lasting through June. Final team placements are completed the week of July 4. Our athletes then start practicing with their new team that they will be a part of for the remainder of the season . Our athletes learn their team choreography in August, giving them ample time to perfect and clean the routines before competition season. We begin competing in November/December and continue until April/May, depending on what team the athlete is on.
There are many other all star programs in our area, but none are as successful as ETC. We are the only gym in our area who has gone to Summit in 2015, D2 Summit in 2018 where we placed 6th in the nation, received bids for 2 more teams in 2019, ultimately having a team become 2019 D2 Summit Champions. In Season 16, we added the first ever World’s team in the Tri-Cities region. We also have the best and most successful Cheerabilities program.
While not every program is a great fit for every athlete, we believe that our program is a solid one that can help anyone whether they are a brand new athlete or an elite experienced athlete. Regardless of the gym you chose, All-Star cheerleading is a wonderful sport.
ETC will always continue to push our athletes to be the best they can be in every aspect of this sport and in life. We work on teaching new skills while perfecting the basics. This sport will encourage our athletes to set goals, show sportsmanship, work together as a team, and many other social skills all while making memories and lifelong friends.
